I have been thinking of writing a blog for quite a long time but never attempted. Mostly due to many reasons which I don't remember now :D. Anyways, here is my first blog about my experience in first year of MBA.
Though I am doing the MBA thro' distance education, it had study classes which is more like class room session we had in regular one. I was expecting a similar atmosphere like what we had in regular but I realized its not going to be same here.
I went and sat in the last bench as I always I do. To my surprise, I got only two boys in the last bench along with me and other last benches were occupied by girls. I think even in schools and colleges, if students are allowed to sit as they wish, probably all girls would prefers to sit in the last bench, then we have to re-wite "Last bench boys yellam onuthukum projam illa" to "Last bench girls yellam onuthukum projam illa" :P. One day, even I was made to sit in the first bench as girls have occupied my place. And sitting at the last, they are the main source of noise generator of the class. I never know girls can make more noise than the girls.
We use to call our lecturers SIR in front of him and by different name on his back. Here, I have to call even some of my class mates as "sir" and some of my classmate calling me by "Sir, Boss and Anna". As long as they don't call me UNCLE, I don't find it hard.
Another interesting thing is, in our college days,we use to hear from friends like "Machan/ mama, naan antha penna love panren da", " Avalum yenna pakaranu nenaikernda" needan yennaku help pannanum" "Avakita propose panna poren, kuda thonaiku variya"...but here it is completely different like "Boss/ Sir, yennaku ponnu patutanga, engagementduku kandipa vandanum", "Athdutha varam yenaku marriage, come with your family".
One thing is never changed whether it is regular or distance education, guys/gals who were in love or engaged, you will see their cell phone crying to them to stop talking. Not sure what these guys/gals has to talk for so long without getting bored. By the way, I am not going to talk about the guys/gals who were already married. They will be looking like standing in the line at the gate of the hell not knowing what will happen when they go home :D.
Exams...this is the worst part in our education system and studying again after a big gap...You can understand. I never liked the exams during my regular course. For me exams are like vomiting whatever we have ate previous night (for some people it is whole semester). But here I enjoyed the exams like anything. First reason is "vasuthu" was very good. Especially my seating was at right place from where I can look at a person/ people and watch whatever they are doing. Normally I waste around 35% of time by sitting not doing anything or looking at others. Here, I ended up wasting almost 60% of time and enjoying my exams.
I enjoyed the first year and hope second year will also be happier one. And...ok...no questions about what I learnt in the first year or did I listen the class properly etc.
